Inserting BizRatings CSAT Survey HTML Snippet into Halo Email Templates

Step 1. Log into your Bizratings Account as an Admin and go to > Connected Apps > Expand your company name > Settings > Survey Sync/Send Preferences > Scroll to the Closed Loop Emails > under "Would you like to attach the survey to your closed loop emails?" > Select HaloPSA Closedloop Snippet > Highlight and COPY the tntiHTML code starting from the first Start BizRatings Widget tag to the End BizRatings Snippet Tag below.

Step 2. Log into your Halo account and go to Configurations>Email>Email Templates 


Step 3. Next, locate your “Ticket Closed” template and click Edit in the upper left corner.   You can insert the BizRatings CSAT Snippet in any email template of your choosing, but it should be the email communication an end user receives as soon as a support issue has been fully resolved.

Step 3a. Click code view and paste your BizRatings customized Halo HTML snippet in the provided box.  

Step 4. To observe your changes, toggle between preview and HTML code view by clicking the code view icon. Confirm your changes by clicking save. 

Step 5. Create and close a test ticket as per HaloPSA instructions, set the recipient/subject end user to an email address you have access to for testing purposes. The results HalsoPSA Ticket Closed email template will be sent to the subject end user with the BizRatings CSAT survey snippet included, as you specified in Step 4. above. Check the subject end user inbox, and submit a CSAT rating via the email received. The CSAT rating will be retained in your BizRatings account. If you have the BizRatings review redirect enabled, the redirect will work provided your account threshold criteria are satisifed by your submitted CSAT rating.


Migrating from ConnectWise (CW) to HaloPSA

Many organizations transition from ConnectWise to HaloPSA in phases. BizRatings fully supports this workflow, and you can test HaloPSA surveys without disabling your existing CW API integration.

This section outlines how to migrate smoothly, validate data flow, and prepare for a clean cutover.


Testing HaloPSA While CW API Integration Remains Active

Your BizRatings subscription already includes HaloPSA survey capability, so HaloPSA surveys are not gated.
You may safely test HaloPSA CSAT collection while your CW API sync remains enabled.

To test:

  1. Follow the instructions above to insert the HaloPSA CSAT snippet into your Halo closed‑ticket email template.
  2. Ensure your Agent ID, Agent Name, and Agent Email fields are fully populated in HaloPSA.
    • These values are passed to BizRatings with each CSAT score.
    • If configured correctly, the assigned agent will appear on the CSAT record in BizRatings.
  3. Submit test tickets and verify results in BizRatings.

Where scores appear:
HaloPSA CSAT responses will display in your Service Tickets reporting page alongside CW responses.
Each entry will clearly indicate the source system:

  • HALO for HaloPSA
  • CW for ConnectWise

This allows you to validate HaloPSA data flow before committing to a full migration.


Coordinating Your Cutover With BizRatings

When you are ready to set a go‑live date for HaloPSA:

  • Email support@bizratings.com with your planned cutover date.
  • BizRatings will adjust your CW API synchronization settings on our side to prevent duplicate survey triggers or mixed‑system data after migration.
  • We will confirm when your account is fully switched to HaloPSA‑only survey ingestion.

This step is required for a clean transition.


Pricing Plan Notes

HaloPSA survey functionality is included for all active BizRatings subscription tiers.
There is no additional charge to migrate from CW to HaloPSA or to run both systems in parallel during testing.

Recommended Migration Workflow

  1. Insert HaloPSA snippet into your closed‑ticket template.
  2. Run test tickets while CW API sync remains active.
  3. Validate agent mapping (Agent ID, Name, Email).
  4. Confirm CSAT entries appear as “HALO” in BizRatings.
  5. Notify BizRatings Support with your go‑live date.
  6. BizRatings disables CW sync and finalizes your HaloPSA configuration.
  7. Go live with HaloPSA‑only CSAT collection.

This approach ensures zero downtime and clean reporting continuity.
