BizRatings Survey Notifications and Alerts Setup

Here are guidelines on how to set up and manage email notifications for your BizRatings survey responses.

To access Notifications:

  • Sign into your BizRatings company account
  • Click the Settings button from the side navigation
  • Select Notifications

Daily Ticket Breakdown

Check or uncheck to turn this notification on or off. When enabled, you will receive a daily email summarizing how many responses were received the previous day and the average score.

Service Ticket Low Score Threshold

This setting controls instant email alerts for Service Ticket surveys. When a response is submitted that falls at or below your selected threshold, an email notification is sent immediately.

  • Select a score (1–10) from the dropdown to set the maximum threshold. Any response at that score or below will trigger a notification. For example, selecting 7 means you'll be notified for any score of 7 or lower.
  • Select Send on Every Response to receive a notification for every Service Ticket survey submitted, regardless of score.
  • Select Don't Send Notification to disable Service Ticket alerts entirely.

We recommend calling the client immediately to resolve any issue before it escalates.

Service Tickets Auto Approval

This setting controls whether high-scoring Service Ticket responses are automatically approved and published to your BizRatings Public Customer Testimonials Profile.

  • Select a score (1–10) to set the minimum threshold for auto-approval. Any response at that score or above will be automatically approved and published without manual review.
  • Select Don't Auto Approve to require manual approval for all Service Ticket responses before they are published.

Project Low Score Threshold

This setting works the same way as the Service Ticket threshold above, but applies specifically to Project surveys. Configure it independently to set different alerting rules for project-based work.

  • Select a score (1–10), Send on Every Response, or Don't Send Notification.

We recommend calling the client immediately to resolve any issue before it escalates.

Project Auto Approve Score

This setting works the same way as Service Tickets Auto Approval above, but applies to Project surveys.

  • Select a score (1–10) to automatically approve and publish Project responses at or above that threshold.
  • Select Don't Auto Approve to require manual approval for all Project responses.

Email Recipients

Each threshold section (Service Tickets and Projects) has its own Recipients list.

  • Type an email address into the recipient field and add it to the list.
  • All addresses listed will be CC'd on the same notification email, allowing the team to share follow-up conversation on the same thread.
  • To remove an address, click the x next to it.

Recipients for Service Ticket notifications and Project notifications are managed separately, so you can notify different teams for each.

Customize the Notification Subject Line

Both the Service Ticket and Project notification sections allow you to customize the email subject line. You can insert dynamic data into the subject using these tokens:

  • {TICKETNO} – inserts the ticket number
  • {CLIENTNAME} – inserts the client's name

Example subject line: Low Score Alert – Ticket #{TICKETNO} – {CLIENTNAME}

ConnectWise Users: Using the Email Connector

For ConnectWise Manage users, you can pair BizRatings low score notifications with ConnectWise's Email Connector to automatically attach the notification to the original service ticket — no manual lookup required.

How it works

ConnectWise's Email Connector monitors an inbox and parses incoming emails to either create a new ticket or update an existing one. When the ticket number appears in the email subject in a recognized format (e.g., Ticket #1234 or SR #1234), ConnectWise will attach that email directly to the matching ticket.

By customizing your BizRatings notification subject line to include {TICKETNO} in one of ConnectWise's recognized formats, the low score alert will automatically thread onto the original ticket the moment it arrives.

Setup steps

In BizRatings:

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Under Service Ticket Low Score Threshold, find Modify the subject of Service Tickets low score notification
  3. Set the subject to a format ConnectWise will recognize, for example: Ticket #{TICKETNO} – Low Score – {CLIENTNAME}
  4. Add the email address associated with your ConnectWise Email Connector to the Recipients list for Service Ticket notifications

In ConnectWise Manage:

  1. Navigate to Setup Tables → Email Connector
  2. Confirm your Email Connector is configured and monitoring the inbox where BizRatings will send notifications
  3. Optionally, add a Parsing Rule to automatically set ticket properties (service type, priority, status) when a low score notification arrives — useful for triggering workflow rules or routing to a specific queue

Important notes

  • Email connector tags are not supported for Project tickets — this workflow applies to Service Tickets only
  • Only one email tag per email is supported
